In 1946 the Stamper family purchased Wellington Farm and since then there has been many changes, who would have thought that there would be premises here to supply our own dairy ice cream.
Faced with drastic economical changes in farming we decided to diversify and so our project to open Wellington Jerseys started in April 2004 and opened March 2005. The cafe combines the Old Stackyard Tea Rooms with our ice cream parlour.
Following the 2009 floods the cafe closed for a short while however we re-opened on 25th May 2010 and incorporated a small animal enclosure, come meet Dotty, Rod and the gang, they will be pleased to meet you all!
We are open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm, why not call in to try our:
*Hot meals
*Farmhouse Breakfasts
*Freshly made Sandwiches & Panini's
*Homemade cakes & tray bakes
*Local beers
*Our own homemade Jersey Ice Cream (including award winning Whisky & Marmalade)
All of which can be eaten either in our lovely indoor tearoom or outside on our terrace with stunning views of the Cumbrian Fells.
All sandwiches, Panini’s, cakes and tray bakes can also be taken away, perfect for picnic’s or lunch time treats.
